&lt;p&gt;The St. Louis and Southwestern railroad came through in 1880. &lt;p&gt;In the 1930s-50s, H. G. &amp;ldquo;Smutt&amp;rdquo; Blake owned and operated a dry goods store in downtown Chandler. It was located in a red brick building that faced the railroad tracks.
