The Brownsboro Bearettes held the Whitehouse Lady Wildcats without an earned run until the sixth inning in a contest held in Brownsboro Friday. Unfortunately, by the sixth inning, the Bearettes had given up seven unearned runs -- five of them in the fourth inning when Brownsboro committed three infield errors -- in what turned into an 11-0 loss as the BISD entered Spring break. A double-digit number of Brownsboro High School athletes were named to the Academic All-State team recently, according to information provided by BISD Athletic Director John Settle last week. Seven came from the Bears football team, with three athletes from the volleyball Bearettes being cited, as well. More ... And the weather keeps switching back and forth. Par for the course, this time of year ... after all, we live in Texas. And games are on the schedule, then the time is changed, then they’re called due to weather.
