A chartered bus for the Bears' playoff game at Texas Stadium Friday night against Celina will be available at $20 per seat, and will leave the student parking lot at 4pm. Tickets are available for the game at the school at $6 per student and $8 for adults. All tickets at the gate are $10. Parking is $5. Anyone interested in either the bus transportation or tickets should contact Mrs. Hawkins at the high school or call 903-852-2321.

There will be no football Pep Rally Thursday due to the Great East Texas Shoot Out.

Chandler 4-H Club will meet Tues., Dec. 12, at 7pm for their annual Christmas party featuring fingerfood and games.

The Brownsboro 6th, 7th, 8th, and High School Bands will present a Christmas program Thurs., Dec. 14, at 7pm in the High School gym. Everyone is invited to come enjoy Christmas music.

The BHS Final Curtain Players' performance of The Harvest Trilogy, has been rescheduled from this weekend until Thurs., Fri., Sun., & Mon., Jan. 4, 5, 7, & 8, due to a malfunction in the heating system. Performances begin at 7pm, except for Sunday which will begin at 2pm, in the Drama Theater located behind Bear Stadium in the east wing of the BISD Administration Building, on Hwy. 31. Admission is $3, or $5 per couple, and $10 for a family of four or more. Please come out and support our students.

The Singing Bragg Family will appear in the theater of the Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center in Athens Thurs., Dec. 14, 2-4pm for a special Country Christmas Concert for the whole family. Admission into the center is free after 1pm.

The Quilters Guild of East Texas will meet Thurs., Dec. 14, at 10am for their Day meeting, at the Tyler Area Senior Citizen Center, 3402 Old Omen Rd., Tyler for a Christmas luncheon. Bring a dish. Their Evening meeting will be held Thurs., Dec. 14, at 7pm at the Nimble Thimble, 322 ESE Loop 323, Tyler for their holiday party.

The Bread of Life Distribution (BOLD) of food takes place the third Saturday of the month and will be on Sat., Dec. 16, 8am-5pm, at the Calvary Baptist Church in Brownsboro for those in the Brownsboro, Murchison and Moore Station area. The Tyler Chapter of the Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA), Chapter 932, meets the 3rd Thursday of each month at Traditions Restaurant, on South Broadway, at 1900 hours. "Brownsboro Remembered, " a history of Brownsboro written by Dottie Lewis is on sale at Piggy's Too for $15 per copy.

"Chandler - Its History and People" is now on sale for $25 at the Chandler Public Library. The book was published for the Chandler centennial in 1981 and has detailed histories of schools, churches and businesses as well as information about pioneer families of the area.
