SCORE ONE FOR THE HOMETOWN HEROES
The Food Fast Store #69 of Brownsboro recently held a bicycle raffle to benefit the Bear Foundation, a foster parent organization. The winning ticket was purchased by an anonymous buyer who wrote "police department" on their raffle ticket. The Brownsboro police department, in turn, placed the bike into the collection of toys gathered for the Hometown Heroes Christmas toy drive. Pictured accepting the Roadmaster MT Sport SV bicycle is BPD Chief Ron Shields from Food Fast Manager Debora McCalister. Drop off points for unwrapped toys in Brownsboro are Brownsboro City Hall and police department, Pizza Pro, B.J.'s, El Presidente, Southern Maid Donuts, and The Statesman. In Chandler, toys can be left at Chandler city hall and police department, San Pedro's, Kwik Kash and Brookshire's. Deadline is Dec. 22. An account has been set up at the First State Bank in Brownsboro for any monetary donations.
