Today's Girl Pageant to be held January 20 at Murchison school The Murchison ISD school cafeteria, located off Highway 31 in Murchison, will be the site of the 2007 Henderson County Today's Girl Youth Program preliminary. The pageant will be held Saturday, January 20, 2007 and is open to all girls ages zero to eighteen years. Registration will be at 4 p.m. The Henderson County preliminary is one of numerous competitions being held throughout the state. Preliminary winners will advance to the state competition in June, which will be held in Addison, Tx. The state winners will then advance to the National competition to be held in July. Young ladies will be competing for awards and the titles of Henderson County Today's Girl Baby (ages 0- 3yrs.), Henderson County Today's Girl Doll (ages 4- 6yrs.), Henderson County Today's Girl Miss (ages 7- 9yrs.), Henderson County Today's Girl Junior (ages 10- 12yrs.), Henderson County Today's Girl Teen (ages 13- 15yrs.) and Henderson County Today's Girl (ages 16- 18 yrs.). Today's Girl is a national development program dedicated to providing inspiration, social skills, grooming and volunteerism to the community.
