Young Farmers auction a success

The 5th Annual Brownsboro High School Ag auction held Saturday, December 2, by the Brownsboro Young Farmers Association was reportedly a great success.

Friends and supporters of the recently organized chapter gathered in the high school for a delicious meal, followed by a silent, as well as a live auction held in the school’s little theater.

More than 160 items were donated for the auction, said Sherree Lawrence, secretary of the Young Farmers Association.

“Hopefully it will cover expenses for the kids and help purchase Ag equipment for the new building,” she said.

A 21-gun safe donated by Citizens National Bank was won by Matt and Tami Smith.

Clayton Lee won the drawing for a Delta tool box that was donated by Tae Park of Shoguns, of Tyler.

Rex Foster won the 50-50 pot.

A big thank you goes out to the parents of the students for their support and their donations of baked goods.
