DEADLY ACCIDENT
A two-vehicle accident Sunday afternoon south of Chandler on Farm-to-Market Road 315 claimed the life of a Royce City woman and sent another to the hospital. Patricia Lynn Cummins, 51, was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:31 p.m. by JP Pct. 3 Sue Starnes. Cummins was driving a 1998 Dodge Caravan when she failed to yield the right-of-way at a stop sign at County Road 3105 at the Westwood Beach entrance. Susan McCawley, 39, Brownsboro was northbound on FM 315 in a 1997 Chevrolet Z 71 pick up truck when Cummins pulled out in front of her. McCawley was taken to ETMC Tyler where she was treated for her injuries. DPS Trooper Brent Davis reports both women were wearing their seatbelts.
