What’s Happening Santa Claus will visit Brookshire’s Grocery in Chandler Fri. & Sat., Dec. 15 & 16 to visit with the children and collect donations for the Friends of the Troops to send packages overseas. Members of the Chandler Lions Club will be on hand to pass out candy canes while photos of Santa with the kids will be taken free of charge. The Brownsboro 6th, 7th, and 8th grade bands will present a Christmas program Thurs., Dec. 14, at 7pm in the High School gym. Everyone is invited to come enjoy Christmas music. Parents of all Seniors are invited to attend the Senior Graduation Lock-in meeting Thurs., Dec. 14, at 6:30pm in the Little Theater of the High School. The Bread of Life Distribution (BOLD) of food takes place the third Saturday of the month and will be on Sat., Dec. 16, 8am-5pm, at the Calvary Baptist Church in Brownsboro for those in the Brownsboro, Murchison and Moore Station area. The book was published for the Chandler centennial in 1981 and has detailed histories of schools, churches and businesses as well as information about pioneer families of the area. Chandler Masonic Lodge #993 meets every 3rd Monday, at 7:30pm at the lodge located at 724 N. Broad, in Chandler. Keep Chandler Beautiful meets every 3rd Thursday, at 7pm, in the Chandler Community Center. Everyone is invited. The Chandler AARP, Chapt. # 3018, meets every 3rd Monday of the month, at 1pm, in the Chandler Community Center. All persons, 50- years and older are encouraged to attend. The Moore Station City Council will hold its monthly meetings the 1st Monday of each month at 6pm in the Community Center. The Kickapoo Creek Kiwanis meets at noon, each Wednesday, at Piggy’s Too , located on Hwy 31 in downtown Brownsboro. The Chandler Lions Club meets every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month in the Chandler Community Center at 7pm. Meetings consist of dinner, meeting and a program.
