Christine Laverne Davis

Christine LaVerne Davis, age 75, of Gunter, Texas, passed away December 8, 2006 in Plano, Texas. She was born April 17, 1931 To George Homer and Cecile Evelyn (Campbell) Franklin in Crockett, Texas. At the age of 17, she wed Leland Delbert Ives and they had three children. On July 5, 1973, Christine married J.B. Davis in Dallas, Texas. Mrs. Davis worked for Texas Instruments as a technician and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Celina, Texas.

She is survived by her husband of thirty-three years, J.B.; daughters, Jan Barnett and her husband Jim of Anna, Texas, and Cathy Pell and her husband Billy of Celina, Texas; son, Rick Ives of Allen, Texas; 4 grandchildren, Lori Pell, Crissy Clowe, April Ives and Katie Ives; 2 greatgrandchildren, Hunter O’Neill and Cailee Christine Chatelain; mother, Cecile Evelyn Franklin of Chandler, Texas who will be 102 years old on January 21; and many other loving family and friends.

Preceding her in death were her father, George Homer Franklin; and sister and brother-in-law, Marjorie Evelyn and Billy Bob Hyett.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at Bethel Baptist Church, Celina, Texas, with Cliff Lester and Bill Cathey officiating. Interment followed at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas, under direction of Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Allen, Texas.
