District 14-3A Volleyball awards

Coach Daughtry

The 2006 District 14-3A all district volleyball selections were recently made and eight Bearettes earned a spot on the team.

Malleri McGee took home the award for Outstanding Hitter and Sara Scarborough brought home the award for Outstanding Blocker.

Brownsboro Head Coach Becky Daughtry was named the District coach of the year.

Amber Strickland and Danica Edwards were both named to the First Team All District squad. Strickland looks to have a monster season in 2007 as she is a junior this year.

Three Bearettes made the Second Team All District squad. They were Chelsea Chimney, Kelly Miller and Kaitlyn Carder.

Miller, McGee, Scarborough and Carder were also named to the Academic All District Team.

MVP of District 14-3A went to Calli Miller from Bullard. Defensive player of the year was awarded to Ashley Parish of Van.
