JV Bears win Grace Tournament title

In a tune up for the Grace Community Tournament the JV Bears defeated Malakoff 43-38 last Tuesday night in Brownsboro.

Broox Nichelson led the Bears in scoring with 9 points as eight different players scored on the night. Daniel Myer nailed the Bears only three point shot in the win.

Playing in the Grace Tournament over the weekend the Bears came home victorious winning the tournament championship.

In game one the Bears defeated Eustace 55-35 and were led in scoring by Tony Cooper with 13 points. Trent Richards nailed 2 threes while James Thomas, Jeremy Monroe and Daniel Myer each added a three pointer.

Playing against Quitman in game two the Bears rolled easy, winning 65-32. The Bears outscored Quitman 26- 2 in the opening period. Charlie Stringer led the Bears in scoring with 14 points.

For the championship the Bears defeated TK Gorman 62- 59 and were led in scoring by Tony Cooper with 17 points. Three Bears scored in double figures in the win. Richards and Thomas had threes.
