Greetings from the Church on the Lake. Another nice morning and how about this spring-like weather? We had a good turnout and welcomed two new members to our church family.

This was the Southern Angels bake sale Sunday and we had a table full of goodies and they all sold quickly. Thanks from the Angels to all who contributed baked goods and to all the folks who bought them.

Our Church Christmas party was Saturday night and everyone reported having a great time and lots of fun and fellowhip.

Our Children’s Christmas program was Sunday night at 7:00.

There will be the usual meetings and classes this week.

Next Sunday, December 24 there will be only one worship service at 9:30 a.m. and no Sunday School, but there will be two Christmas Eve services, one child-oriented at 4:00 p.m. and one at 7:00 p.m.

Looking ahead: Sunday, December 31 there will be an Open House, come and go, at the Parsonage from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Plan to stop by and visit.

Many of our members and their families will be travelling and we pray they all have a safe trip.

We pray for our World Leaders and for their safety and that of our young men and women serving in the armed forces.

Congratulations and best wishes go out to all who are having anniversaries and birthdays this week, and our love and prayers go out to all who are ill, and to the bereaved. God bless all of you.
