SANTA HELPS OUT FRIENDS OF THE TROOPS -- Santa Claus was quite busy Saturday as he made his rounds throughout the Brownsboro and Chandler area performing community service for various organizations. A stop along his way included visiting Brookshire’s Grocery in Chandler to assist the Friends of the Troops, a local organization that raises money to fund the purchase of items and postage for care packages to send overseas. Donations were accepted from shoppers while their children told Santa their wishes for Christmas. Lions Club members were on hand to take photographs free of charge. Pictured with Santa are Destiny Mosley, 5, and Micheal Mosley, Jr., 4. Destiny is in town visiting her aunt Janice Mosley, and cousins Micheal, and Kristin, 1. Friends of the Troops would like to extend their appreciation for all those who contributed to their drive. The Lions Club is still looking for military personnel names currently serving in Iraq and Afghanistan to send packages to. Anyone with a name should email it to chandlerlionsclub@yahoo.com
