Doug Tate

Memorial services for Doug Tate, Chandler, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 21, 2006 at First Assembly of God in Chandler with Revs. Kenneth Tarver, Mickey Ellis, and Matt Wood officiating under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Chandler Memorial Cemetery. Mr. Tate passed away Monday, December 18, 2006 in Tyler.

He was born May 6, 1964 in Tyler, Texas to Tommie and Johnnie “Snow” Tate Hamlin. Mr. Tate attended First Assembly of God Church, worked as a volunteer dispatcher for Chandler Police Department in Chandler and lived in Tyler for most of his life. He is preceded in death by his father, Tommie Tate.

He is survived by his son, Timothy Douglas Tate of Chandler; mother and stepfather, Johnnie and Ed Hamlin, both of Chandler; sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara and Ron Reeves of Chandler; Terri and Stan Stoffergen of Lindale; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Brad Lewis, Ross Dunklin, James Martin, Keith Horton, Alfred Mathis, and Kenny Dockery.

Honorary pallbearers are Chandler Police Department and Chandler Police Explorers.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at Lloyd James Funeral Home.
