Sub-Varsity Basketball JV Bearettes Not letting a great three periods of play slip away the JV Bearettes did just enough in the fourth period to leave Pittsburg with a 57-43 win. Brownsboro dominated the first half to lead 30-13 at the half. In the third period the Bearettes scored 19 points while holding Pittsburg to 13. In the final stanza Pittsburg outscored Brownsboro 17-8. LeCandace Bell led Brownsboro in scoring with 23 points. Bell had the only three of the game for Brownsboro.
Next Thursday and Friday the Bearettes will play in the Bearettes Double Header, each game begins at 3:00pm. Freshman Bearettes Trailing by just one point at the half the Freshman Bearettes were unable to make a comeback against Pittsburg last Tuesday. Playing in Pittsburg the Bearettes lost by the score of 32- 27. Chelsea Chambers led the team in scoring with 11 points.
Brownsboro will play at noon next Thursday and Friday in the Bearettes Double Header. JV Bears Trailing after two periods of play the JV Bears rallied back to defeat Lindale last Tuesday in Lindale. Down 28-31 headed into the fourth period the Bears answered the call by outscoring Lindale 18-10 in the final period to win 46-41. Leading the Bears in scoring was Broox Nichelson with 14 points. Trent Richards and Tony Cooper each had a three in the come from behind win.
Brownsboro plays again on Thursday, December 27 in the Wills Point Tournament before returning home on January 2 to play Eustace. Freshman Bears Bret Ralson led the Bears in scoring with 14 points as they held on to defeat Lindale 40- 37 last Tuesday in Lindale. Brownsboro jumped out to an early 18-6 lead before the Eagles charged back in the final period. James Cofer and Jacob McCarthy each hit a three to elevate the Bears.
The Bears will return to action December 27 in the Wills Point Tournament. |
