Search for missing B’boro woman turns up no leads

More than 50 volunteers turned out to assist in the search for Brandi Ellen Wells, 24, of Brownsboro who has been missing since August 2.

Beginning at 8:00 a.m. Saturday volunteers gathered at the Longview Elks Lodge to search the area south of Graham Central Station, a dance club in Longview where she was last seen, but came up empty handed.

The search was conducted by the Laura Recovery Center, of Friendswood, for Wells’ family.

Wells was reportedly last seen recorded on surveillance cameras at approximately 12:30 a.m., August 3, as she was leaving the club. Troopers found her abandoned vehicle, later that day parked on the shoulder of the westbound lanes of Interstate 20.

Longview Information Office Sgt. Sean Pendleton said Mary Tant, Wells’ mother, reported her daughter missing two days later.

Pindleton said no foul play is suspected at this time.

Wells is 4 ft., 11 in. tall, weighs about 120 pounds, with blue eyes and shoulderlength hair.

Anyone with information about Wells’ disappearance is urged to call 903-237-1197 or Gregg County Crimestop-pers at 903-236-STOP. Crimestoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information that will lead to Wells’ whereabouts.
