Wanda Nichols Photo ON HIS WAY -- Brownsboro High School Class of 2007 senior Brent Miller was among 195 students who received their diplomas Saturday, May 26, in the Tyler Junior College Wagstaff gymnasium. Although an accidental shooting in the fall of 2001 left the now 18-year-old a paraplegic, nothing has seemed to get in his way of achieving his dream of living independently. Brent will attend classes at Trinity Valley Community College this fall to begin earning a degree in computer graphics or architecture. He says future plans include designing buildings for others who are handicapped. Pictured presenting Brent his diploma is Brownsboro ISD School Board President Joel Irwin.
