St. Boniface Catholic Church On Sunday, December 31, members of St. Boniface celebrated the Feast of the Holy Family. Fr. James told us that every family is called to be a Holy Family. The Family is the oldest unit in society and the only natural one. The old saying that ‘the family that prays together, stays together’ is so true. Prayer is basically a ‘vertical’ and ‘horizontal’ relationship. It is the relationship between man and God, and between man and his fel- lowman. When Jesus Christ is the center of the family, every family can be a ‘holy family.’ We are reminded to forgive one another. Where there is love, there is patience, acceptance, understanding and forgiveness. Welcome to all who visited with us over the holidays. We look forward to seeing you again! And remember, feel free to join us following the Sunday Mass for refreshments. Speaking of which, the new Baking schedule is posted in the community center. CCD classes were canceled; however, they will resume on Sunday, Jan. 7. We are getting back to business after a nice break for the holidays. This Friday, Jan. 5 is First Friday. Adoration will be at 5pm and Mass will follow at 6pm. The men of the Parish will meet on Saturday, Jan. 6 at 9am in the community center. All men of the parish are invited. The Altar Society will meet on Jan. 8 at 6:30pm in the community center. All ladies of the parish are urged to attend. Congratulations and best wishes to all who celebrate birthdays and anniversaries. We pray for those in our parish who are ill and suffering. Please pray for the souls of the faithful departed, may they rest in eternal peace. Continue to pray for the men and women in uniform who bravely defend our country. Have a wonderful, blessed week. |
