Faith Baptist Chandler
by Melva Allison

Sunday was a special day of worship for us. Bro. David Darst came in view of a call to be our new pastor. The church unanimously called him. He and his wife, Becky, have three lovely children, and we are looking forward to having him on our church field mid-February. In addition to his preaching ability, he is also very musically talented. His special music touched our hearts.

A delicious lunch was served after the morning service, and coffee and desserts served after the evening service. We enjoyed the fellowship and getting to know Bro. David and his family.

The adult game night on Friday night was well attended. Everyone had a great time. Everyone is invited to join in the fun the first Friday night of each month at 6:00 p.m.

Revival services will be held Sunday through Wednesday, beginning January 14. Wade and Jennifer Burleigh from First Century Ministries will conduct the services. Worship services will be at 11:00 a.m., and 6:00 p.m., on Sunday, January 14, and at 6:30 p.m., Monday through Wednesday. Dinner will be served prior to the services Monday through Wednesday. Everyone is invited to attend.

The Top of the Hill Gang will have lunch Friday, January 12, at 11:45 at the Shed in Edom.

The Ladies Ministries raffled off a beautiful quilt which was won by Margaret Smith of Brownsboro.

The Wednesday night meals will resume January 24 from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m.

Among those celebrating birthdays last week were Maxine Barnes, Paul Carver, and Amy and Kyle Henson.
