The New Plainsmen Quartet coming to Chandler

The Newplansmen Quartet
The New Plainsmen Quartet, celebrating seven years, continues to make remarkable strides in the gospel music industry. In the Southern Gospel tradition, The New Plainsmen Quartet brings to the state close harmonies, unique arrangements and great audience appeal. Based in Chickasha, Oklahoma, this quartet performs approximately 100 dates a year.

This quartet has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in Southern Gospel Music: Gold City, The Hoppers, The Talley Trio, The Perrys and Gary McSpadden, just to name a few. They have also recorded five projects and released five national radio singles. Each radio release has charted consecutively in the National Charts. One of the five songs "If You Could See Where I Am" has become the quartet's signature song.

DJs often comment on the quartet's smooth harmonies, powerful vocals and their professional sound. Pastors continue to remark that they "have it all" -- sound, entertainment and ministry. Promoters also love using The New Plainsmen because of their crowd-pleasing excitement.

While The New Plainsmen sing many new and original songs, their concerts also feature a wealth of classic quartet singing that gospel music fans enjoy so much.

This quartet has hosted their very own 7-night Caribbean Gospel Music Cruise aboard Royal Caribbean's Rhapsody of the Seas, appeared several times worldwide via satellite TV, raised thousands of dollars for benefit organizations such as the Salvation Army, American Cancer Society and Hospice to name a few, and sang on the 2005 National Quartet Convention Showcase (which is by invitation only).

For more detailed information on the quartet and their appearance dates, please visit their website at www.thenewplainsmen.com.

The members of The New Plainsmen Quartet have dedicated their talents to reaching people with the good news of Jesus Christ. Brent Gordon - Brent's lead voice along with his humble spirit makes him a favorite with everyone.

James Sparks - James is the tenor and emcee for the group.

Dwain Petty - Dwain's smooth yet powerful baritone voice blends this quartet together.

Billy Dotson - This native Texan has a voice as big as his home state. His voice is one of the lowest and smoothest bass voices in Gospel Music today. If you enjoy positive and powerful four-part harmony with a mix of laughter, praise and hearttouching moments, then you have a personal invitation from each member to experience the dynamic ministry of The New Plainsmen Quartet.

First United Methodist Church of Chandler invites the public to come and experience the ministry of The New Plainsmen Quartet at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 14, 2007, at the church located at 507 N. Broad in Chandler, Texas. For more information on this concert, please call Ken Reid, 903- 849-6839.
