Turning the corner on the new year the BJHS Bearettes began things on the right foot blowing past the Van Lady Vandals in all four games.

In 8th grade action the "A" team defeated Van 30-13 as Hillary Shaffer led all Junior High players in scoring with 18 points. The "B" team defeated Van in a landslide 28-2.

The 7th grade did not have any problems with Van as the "A" team won 41-10 and the "B" team won 17-2. The "B" team held Van scoreless until
the third period.

Bears

Brownsboro Junior High basketball rolls on and the Bears are looking pretty good.

During district action last week 3 of 4 teams defeated Van. Leading all Brownsboro scorers in points against Van was 7th "A" team member Keuntis Thompson.

Thompson was also a huge part of the Bears Tournament Championship win over Brook Hill as he scored 28 points. The "A" team defeated Brook Hill 50-48 in overtime to secure the championship.

Also winning the Brownsboro tournament championship was the 7th grade "B" team and the 8th grade "B" team.

The 7th grade defeated Van 40-13 for title while the 8th grade defeated Van 41-19. The 8th grade "A" team finished second in the tournament losing to Brook Hill.
