Three Brownsboro powerlifters earn first place
      As a winter blast hit East Texas those inside of the Brownsboro High School gym were nice and warm last Saturday morning. The body heat of the students participating in the 2007 Brownsboro Invitational Powerlifting Meet was enough to warm up the entire gym.

Sub-Varsity Basketball
      JV Bearettes LeCandace Bell scored 16 points as the JV Bearettes easily defeated Chapel Hill 44-15 last Tuesday in Brownsboro. The Bearettes outscored the Lady Bulldogs 12-5 in the opening period before taking a halftime lead of 28-5. Sabrina Bradley also scored in double figures with 10 points.

Varsity Bears down Canton Eagles 76-61 to open District 14-3A play
      Brownsboro improved to 12-8 on the season as they walked into Canton last Friday night and dominated the Eagles to open District 14- 3A play. The Bears won the opening tip and scored first before they found themselves trailing 8-4 with five minutes remaining in the first period.
