Gaudie Lee Porter Services for Mrs. Gaudie Lee Porter, 88, Brownsboro were held 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 15, 2007 at the Edom United Methodist Church with Rev. Scott Moore officiating. Burial followed in the Edom Cemetery, under the direction of Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Directors. Mrs. Porter died January 13, 2007 in Tyler. She was born February 21, 1918, in Edom to the late Sam and Minnie Wood Campbell. She has lived in Brownsboro for the past 55 years and is retired from the Brownsboro Independent School District Food Service Department. She was a member of the Brownsboro Methodist Church and an avid sports fan for the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, Dallas Mavericks and the Brownsboro High School. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Porter; sister, Leta Moss and great grandchild, Bryce Osborne. Survivors include her son, Milton Porter and wife Judy of Brownsboro; daughters, Susan Calhoun and husband Hank of Palestine, Kay Saathoff of Corpus Christi; grandchildren, Julie Osborne and husband Brad, Katherine Green and husband Matt, Kayla Nash and husband Greg, Zachary Rosprim, Spencer and Courtney Saathoff, Chris Claiborne and wife Cheryl, Allison Perry and husband Billy; great grandchildren, Sydney Osborne, Jaxon Nash, Gavin Green, Jordan and Macy Perry. Grandsons served as pallbearers. Memorials may be made to the Easter Seals. |
