"Five Tellers Dancing in the Rain" will be Edom Civic Theatre's first production of the 2007 season of "Conflicts, Couples and Critics." The twoact comedy written by Mark Dunn will be presented on Friday and Saturday, February 23 and 24, at 7pm in the Edom Community Center.
This engaging story of five bank tellers exchanging life experiences and feelings, some poignant, some funny, will be directed by Lois Arneson (pictured below) of Edom, a charter member of the 11-year old theatrical group.
Appearing many times on stage and winning numerous awards, Lois Arneson made her debut as a director in "Guess Who's Coming to Lunch?" in 2005. She served as assistant director for "Angel Street" in the same year.
Some of her many acting credits include roles in "Dirty Work at the Crossroads," ETC's first production, plus "The Burning Man," "Black Comedy," "Smoke on the Mountain," "Comin' `Round the Mountain," "A Fine Monster You Are," "Steel Magnolias, " "Pure as the Driven Snow," and "Aaron Slick from Punkin Crick." Most recently she appeared in "Sanders Family Christmas." She was also recognized for several years as the best actress of Van Zandt County in a local entertainment newspaper.
The cast of "Five Tellers" includes Marty Wetherhold of Canton as Delores, Linda Avers of Edom as Lorene, Lahri Gentry of Canton, as Jennifer, Mary Ann Garrett of Chandler as Betina, Linda Parker of Chandler as Twyla, and Sherry Gasper of Edom as the charwoman.
