Our worship services continue to be a blessing. The Lord's presence is certainly felt as we worship Him in music and good preaching. Bro. Johnny's message on "Blacklashes of Sin" was certainly challenging. In his message, he emphasized the consequences of sin and encouraged us to live a life pleasing to the Lord.

Next Sunday, Feb. 4, will be the last Sunday Bro. Johnny Beard will serve as our interim pastor. Lunch will be served after the morning worship service to honor him and his lovely wife. They have been such a blessing to us, and we will miss them. However, we are looking forward to having Bro. David Darst and his family on our church field Feb. 5. His first Sunday as our new pastor will be Feb. 11.

Due to Allen Jaynes' memorial service, the Wednesday night family meal will not be served this week. The meals will resume Feb. 7, 5:00 - 6pm.

There will be a church work day on Feb. 17. Please come and help with needed repairs and clean-up.

There will be a meeting in the youth room at the church on Thurs., Feb. 1, at 6:30pm, to further discuss the implementation of a Pregnancy Resource Center in Chandler. There has been great interest shown from five different churches in our area, and the group would like to meet again, inviting others that may be interested in this ministry to come and be involved. The Ladies Game Day will be held Thurs., Feb. 1, at 1pm. Come join in the fun and fellowship.

The monthly senior adult fellowship and game night will be held Fri., Feb. 2, at 6pm. Bring a favorite dish and come prepared to have a good time.

A valentine banquet will be held Friday night, Feb. 16. Additional details to follow.

Happy Birthday to Lacy Wilkerson and Adrian Hollified. Adrian celebrated his first birthday with friends and family.
