A Pancake Breakfast will be served by the Murchison Volunteer Fire Department Sat., Feb. 3, 6am-10am at the fire department located in downtown Murchison, on FM 773, north just off State Hwy. 31. All donations are greatly appreciated. Bring your family and friends to help support your local First Responders.

A Super Bowl of Singing will be held Sun., Feb., 4, 3pm- 4pm, at West Lake Baptist Church. There will be a fantastic blend of Southern Gospel and Blue Grass music from guests Mark Freid, A Chord of Three, and other area talent including Mack Smith, Rick Daily, and Ruth Smiley. Join us for a great time before the big game.

Rock Hill Baptist Church will be showing a video of NFLTetstimonies by Shawn Alexander and Matt Hasselbeck, Sun., Feb. 4, at 6:30pm All are welcome. The church is located at 10768 CR 3405, east of Brownsboro.

BMC Baseball will be accepting registration forms at the Little Dribblers games in the old intermediate gym Sat., Feb. 3, 10, and 17 from 9am - ? Forms will be available at the sign-up table.

The Brownsboro Band Boosters will meet Mon., Feb. 5, at 6pm in the High School band hall.

All Chandler Intermediate Parents are invited to the school's TAKS (Texas Assessment of Knowledge & Skills)/ SDAA (State Developed Alternative Assessment) Parent Night to be held Mon., Feb. 5, at 6pm in the school cafeteria. Teachers will provide parents with information regarding testing and how parents can help their children prepare. Parents will also be able to view what a TAKS test looks like.

On Super Bowl Sunday, February 4, the First Baptist Church of Chandler will be holding a special "tail gate party" starting at 3:00 p.m., in the fellowship hall with hamburgers and hot dogs and all the trimmings!! Afterward, everyone will adjourn to the sanctuary to watch the Super Bowl on the overhead screen. (Snacks and soft drinks only in the sanctuary, please.) During the halftime, a short devotional will be presented. This event is open to everyone in the community. Come join us for a wonderful day of fun, fellowship and football.

The Larue/Moore Station AARP Chapt. #5345 will meet Tues., Feb. 6, in the Antioch Baptist Church cafeteria, with the Board of Directors meeting at 6pm, followed by the regular meeting at 6:30pm. All members and anyone over 50 are invited to attend.

The Quilter's Guild of East Texas will hold their Day Meeting Thurs., Feb. 8, at 9:30am, in the Tyler Area Senior Citizen Center, 3402 Old Omen Road. Cub Scout Pack 342 & Boy Scout Troop 342 will be collecting food in plastic bags on door steps across the community Sat., Feb. 10, beginning at 10am. The food collected will be turned over to God's Open Hands an outreach ministry that serves a large number of people every month.

The 1st United Methodist Church of Chandler will observe Scout Sunday Feb. 11, followed by the annual Bar-B-Que fundraiser.

The Chandler Public Library will host a book signing and reception for author Jennifer Kennedy Dean Fri., Feb.16, 5pm- 6pm. Kennedy is an author and speaker who leads seminars for the Praying Life Foundation. Her books include Heart's Cry, Principles of Prayer and Fueled by Faith. Mrs. Kennedy will be conducting prayer seminars at the 1st United Methodist Church in Chandler on Friday and Saturday, and will be speaking at both Sunday Services. The Tyler Chapter of the Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA), Chapter 932, meets the 3rd Thursday of each month at Traditions Restaurant, on South Broadway, at 1900 hours. All Vietnam and Vietnam era veterans who served on active duty (for other than training purposes) between 2/28/60 and 5/7/75 (in-country Vietnam) or between 8/ 5/64 and 5/7/75 (for Vietnam era Veterans), and their spouses, are invited to come join us. The Chandler City Council meets in regular session on the 2nd Tuesday night of each month, at 7pm, in the Chandler City Hall.

The Brownsboro City Council meets in regular session on the second Thursday of the month at 5pm at City Hall.

Boy Scout Troop 342 meets every Monday night, at 6:30pm., at Chandler United Methodist Church. Cub Scouts meet in the youth building of the church at 7pm.

The Moore Station City Council will hold its monthly meetings the 1st Monday of each month at 6pm in the Community Center.

The Kickapoo Creek Kiwanis meets at noon, each Wednesday, at Piggy's Too, located on Hwy 31 in downtown Brownsboro.

The Chandler Lions Club meets every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month in the Chandler Community Center at 7pm. Meetings consist of dinner, meeting and a program. Anyone interested in giving back to the community through the Lions organization is invited to attend.
