The Lord blessed us with a beautiful day for worship Sunday. Good singing under the leadership of Andy Tucker and Bro. Johnny's powerful messages inspire us each week.

After the morning worship service, we enjoyed a delicious meal of chicken and spaghetti, salad, and desserts prepared by our fellowship committee. Bro. Johnny and Mrs. Beard were honored for their ministry to our church over the past year.

Our new pastor, Bro. David Darst, has begun his ministry in Chandler, and will be preaching Sunday, February 11. We are looking forward to having his family serve in our church.

The monthly adult fellowship and game night was held Friday, February 2. There were 20 in attendance, and the group enjoyed a great meal, along with all the game competition. Word has it that some of these people get pretty serious about their "42" playing.

The "Top of the Hill Gang" will have lunch Friday, February 9, at 11:45 a.m. at China King Restaurant in Tyler.

Remember the church work day scheduled for February 17. Please come and help with needed repairs and cleanup.

The church is seeking a part-time secretary to work four hours a day Monday through Friday. Anyone interested may send a resume outlining education, experience, and qualifications to the attention of the Personnel Committee, Faith Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1384, Chandler, TX 75758. A job description is available upon request.

The deacons are sponsoring a Valentine banquet on Friday night, February 16. Make your reservation to join in the fun.

Melva Allison and Angie Saxon attended an 80th birthday party for their aunt and great-aunt, Marjorie McGannon, last Saturday at the Southern Magnolia Eatery in Tyler.

Happy birthday to Bill Mays and Lou Turner this week.

We are having some wonderful Bible studies on Sunday mornings at 9:45, followed by our worship service at 11:00 a.m., and we invite anyone who does not have a church home to come join us. You will receive a blessing.
