"The Super Bowl of Singing " - There were 200 in attendance this past Sunday from 3:00-4:00 p.m. who shared an exciting time of ministry through Southern Gospel music. Artists and solists from the East Texas area shared traditional Southern Gospel and Bluegrass Gospel music and received a tremendous crowd response. We'd like to thank all of the guests who attended, and thank all of the artists from the area, who ministered during this special time. And watch your calendar for the Super Bowl of Singing to be held next year on Super Bowl Sunday at the same time!

The Singing Men of Texas will be in concert at WLBC on Thursday, February 22 at 7:00 p.m. This unique choral group is comprised of men from throughout the East Texas area, many of whom currently serve as ministers of music in their own churches - including several from the Chandler area.

"Kidz Choir "- The children's choir, which includes ages pre-K through 6th grade, will begin practice on Wednesday, Feb. 7th for the musical entitled "I Am a Promise."

Gracia Burnham, the noted author and speaker, will be at WLBC on Feb. 22nd at 4:00 p.m. for a special one-hour presentation. Gracia, who has authored two books, and has been featured on Good Morning America, The Today Show, CNN, Fox News, etc., will share of her experience of being held captive for one year, along with her husband Martin, by radical Muslim terrorists. Though Gracia's husband was killed, she survived the ordeal which played out in the international/political stage, as she and her husband, who were both missionaries in the Phillipines, were considered political prisoners. Gracia will also be available to sign copies of her newest book. This is a free event and is open to the community. The 4:00-5:00 p.m. time has been scheduled to allow those who are visiting from other churches to attend without conflicting with their own evening worship services. Plan to attend!

Valentine Banquet - The Singin' Saintz Choir will attend a Senior Adult Valentine Banquet at Timberline on Tuesday, Feb. 6th.

Mission West Lake Food Bank - will be open on Wednesday, Feb. 7th from 10:00-2:00 p.m.

Baby Shower - A shower will be held for Laura Nicolardi on Sunday, Feb. 11th after the morning worship service until 2:00 p.m., in the fellowship hall.

"I Can't Believe I Did That" - Are you sometimes shocked by the things you say or do? Do you find yourself being dissappointed in yourself? In the pastor's new message series we'll discuss common areas of failure and self disappointment and explore biblical strategies that led to the victory that God intends. Message titles include: "I Can't Believe I Did That!"; "I Can't Believe I Said That"; "I Can't Believe I Spent That!"; I Can't Believe I'm Facing That!", etc.

"A Weekend to Remember" - Family Life Marriage Conference, March 23-25 in Grapevine, Texas. To be a part of the WLBC group of couples who will be attending, contact Russell and Meagin Cooper or Bruce and Cindy Fowler.

Breckenridge Village - The mini concert will be Sunday afternoon, Feb. 11th followed by a church-wide fellowship.

Evangels Class will have their class meeting on Thursday, Feb. 8th at 2:00 p.m.
