Filing for County-wide elections begins February 12

Filing for the upcoming county-wide city council and independent school district trustees elections will begin Feb. 12.

Mayor and city council terms are for two years and school board trusties serve three-year terms.

The city of Brownsboro will be accepting applications for mayor currently held by Ronny Harris, as well as for two at-large city council seats now occupied by Len Vest, and Mayor pro tem Randal Clayton.

In the Brownsboro ISD school board election two seats currently held by Charles Anderson, and school board president Joel Irwin will be open for election.

Applications for the two atlarge seats on the city of Chandler city council currently held by Barbara Reeves and Marshal Crawford. Additionally, Mayor Joye Rains' second term will come to an end, and her seat will be open for election.

In the city of Murchison, applications for three at-large seats now held by Roger Adair, Lloyd Smith, and Tony Baker are up for election.

Two at-large positions on the Murchison ISD school board held by Mike Davis and Beverly Sefton are open for election.

In Coffee City, applications for Place 2 and 4, held by Betty Gail Davis and Henry Thirkill, respectively, will be accepted.

Applications for these positions will be accepted through Monday, March 12.

Early voting by personal appearance begins Monday, April 30, through Tuesday, May 8.

Election day is Saturday, May 12.
