What's Happening Revolution Youth & Chandler 1st Assembly of God will be hosting a Valentine's Steak Dinner Banquet Fri., Feb. 9, at 6:30pm, in the Family LIfe Center of the Church. Cost for the banquet is a "love offering" or donation. The church is located on FM 315N (N. BroadSt.), north of Hwy. 31 across from FM 2010. BMC Baseball will be accepting registration forms at the Little Dribblers games in the old intermediate gym Sat., Feb. 10, and 17 from 9am - ? Forms will be available at the sign-up table. East Texas Girls Softball has begun registration for the spring season. Forms are available in all BISD schools, also Copeland Drug and Chandler City Hall. Forms and money can be mailed in or dropped off at the girls Little Dribblers games Feb. 10, 17, and 24. The deadline is Feb. 24, and the draft will be March 4. The Brownsboro FFA monthly meeting will be held on Monday, February 19 at 6:30pm in the FFA Hall at the High School. The monthly meeting will take place the third Thursday of every month. Kickapoo Creek 4H will be holding their monthly meeting on Feb. 12 at 7:00 pm at the Opelika Missionary Baptist Church. HCLS entry forms will be completed at this meeting. Cub Scout Pack 342 & Boy Scout Troop 342 will be collecting food in plastic bags on door steps across the community Sat., Feb. 10, beginning at 10am. The food collected will be turned over to God's Open Hands, an outreach ministry that serves a large number of people every month. The 1st United Methodist Church of Chandler will observe Scout Sunday Feb. 11, followed by the annual Bar-BQue fundraiser. The Chandler Public Library will host a book signing and reception for author Jennifer Kennedy Dean Fri., Feb.16, 5pm-6pm. Kennedy is an aurhot and speaker who leads seminars for the Praying Life Foundation. Her books include Heart's Cry, Principles of Prayer and Fueled by Faith. Mrs. Kennedy will be conducting prayer seminars at the 1st United Methodist Church in Chandler on Friday and Saturday, and will be speaking at both Sunday Services.
