JUSTICE FOR THE PEOPLE

Well now, let's just take a look and see. I know you have noticed that the price of oil is down; this means gasoline prices are down. More money in your wallet. Now you can spend it on food for your family. This is money well spent, much better than going into the ultra-rich pockets of big oil companies.

I wonder what caused the price of oil to fall so quick? Politics, that might be the answer. What changed? Oh!!! The Democrats took control in Washington. I guess that Big Oil is worried, they (the Democrats) might start an investigation into all that profits they gouged you and I for. Back in the eightys the Democrats imposed the excess profits tax on the oil com- panies and made them pay it back at the pump. Big Oil no longer has the power in Washington it had in December.

The scary part is, does Big Oil have this much control over our lives? Does the Republicans in Washington have this much control? The Republicans have always supported Big Oil and shared in their profits. You and I have suffered to make them all very rich. Now that the Democrats are in control, I hope we will be able to sit at the table again and feed our families.
