John Carl Parrish Graveside services for John Carl Parrish, 63, Edom, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Edom Cemetery with Dr. John Beard officiating under direction of Hilliard Funeral Home, Van. Mr. Parrish died February 4, 2007, in Tyler. He was born January 9, 1944, in White Oak to the late Albert P. and Clinty Dell Knighten Parrish. He was a tire builder for Kelly-Springfield, a photographer for Tyler Courier Times, a former constable for Van Zandt County, Precinct 4, and was currently a deputy constable for Van Zandt County, Precinct 3. Survivors include his wife, Leta Parrish, Edom; sons, Sean Parrish, Tyler, and Craig Parrish, Denton; daughter, Cheryl Parrish, Chandler; brothers, Paul Parrish, Longview, and Pat Parrish, White Oak; six grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Darren Brockway, Charlie Baker, Buddy Hutchins, Henry Askew, Josh Shiver, Luke Shivers, Clarence Hogan and Ivan Medina.
