Edom Community scholarship available

Applications are now being accepted for the Edom Community Scholarship. This scholarship was established in 1994 and is funded entirely by donations from area citizens. The Edom Area Chamber of Commerce administers the fund. Over the past two years, three $500 scholarships were awarded.

The opportunity to apply for the scholarship is offered annually to graduating high school seniors who will be continuing their education at an institute of higher learning. To qualify, students must reside within the Edom area and should present a high school record indicative of academic and social involvement.

Students with an interest in applying for the scholarship can do so by contacting counselors at the two public high schools attended by Edom students. The contact person at Van High School is Mr. Bill Giles and the designated staff member at Brownsboro High School is Ms. Maggie Debenport.
