Martha Cowart Miller

Chapel services for Martha Cowart Miller, 64, of Tyler were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, 2007 at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home chapel with Dr. Mike Daniels officiating. Interment followed in Tyler Memorial Park. Services were under the direction of Tyler Memorial Funeral Home.

Mrs. Miller was born Nov. 20, 1942 to Julius and Stella Buckner in Tyler, and passed away in Tyler on Feb. 3, 2007. She lived most of her life in Tyler and was a hotel manager.

Mrs. Miller is preceded in death by her husband, Sr.; son, Alton Cowart; mother, Stella Buckner; grandson, Shannon Cowart; and granddaughter, Amy Davis.

She is survived by sons, Larry Paul Sr. and Latricia Cowart of Brownsboro, Tony Cowart of Tyler, James Cowart Jr. of New Chapel Hill; daughters, Debbra and Adrian Salem of Arlington, Lacretia and Mike Mims of Chandler, Brandy and Kenneth Brown of Flint; brother, Julius Buckner of Tyler; aunt, Blanche Shuford of Tyler; 19 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Jimmy Matlock, Bob Wishard, Cary Guess, Charles Wilson, Danny Joe Hearn and Brian Parker.
