Community Crafters to launch new group

Crafters Wanted! The kick-off meeting for the Ben Wheeler Community Crafters will be held on Thursday, March 1 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ben Wheeler Methodist Church. All crafters are invited! Bring a sack lunch. Drinks and cookies will be provided.

This first meeting is designed to get us all inspired and to get those creative juices flowing! Enjoy special presentations by Scrapbooker Rhita Koches, Van Zandt County Judge and Cindy Tarno, Owner of K&C Country Scrapbook. Community Crafter Project Hostesses will present trunk shows.

Get motivated! Fellowship with other crafters! Share ideas! Finish all those unfinished projects (UFPs)! Be productive! Learn something new! Enjoy good food! Share recipes! Make new friends! Get out of the house! Mainly, have lots and lots of fun!

Community Crafters Meeting Calendar is set as follows:

First Thursday - Quilting and Sewing

Second Thursday - General Crafting: beading, woodworking, decoupage ... anything goes

Third Thursday - Scrapbooking, Stamping and Genealogy - paper crafts

Fourth Thursday - Handwork - knitting, crocheting, embroidery, needlepoint, tatting

Fifth Thursday - (4 during the year) Special Program Crafts - cake decorating, jelly making - basically crafters' choice.

All groups will meet on Thursdays between the hours of 10am and 3pm at the Ben Wheeler Methodist Church, FM 858, old downtown Ben Wheeler, next to the new fire station (handicap accessible).
