Author Gracia Burnham: Approximately 300 were in attendance this past Sunday at 4:00 for Gracia Burnham's testimony. Her book, "In the Presence of My Enemies" was a New York Times bestseller and chronicles the account of her one-year captivity by radical muslim terrorists in the jungles of the Phillipines. Though she was shot and survived, her husband Martin was killed. Today she lives in Kansas, and continues to write and speak.

Gracia remained for over one hour after the event ended Sunday, to personally visit with anyone in attendance that wanted to speak with her on a one-on-one basis. WLBC would like to thank our many wonderful friends from other churches who were in attendance.

The Singing Men of East Texas were in concert at WLBC this past Thursday night. Over 350 were in attendance to enjoy the choir comprised of men from throughout the East Texas region who are current or retired ministers of music. We were proud of the four men in the choir representing Chandler: our own Keith Davis, minister of music at WLBC; Ken Reid, Ministerof Music from FUMC Chandler; Tommy Earl, Minister of Music from FBC Chandler; and Allan Cox. The inspiring night featured solos and instrumentalists, as well as a multi-media presentation. We would like to thank The Singing Men of East Texas for this memorable time of worship, and thank all of our friends from area churches who were in attendance.
