The BHS Theatre Angels are holding a fundraiser for the drama department through Sat., March 10. See a member of the Theatre Angels or go to www.touchnature.com to purchase flower bowls for your yard. Use Control #53192 on the website to give the school credit.

The Poynor Civic Center will host old country music featuring Country Gents and guests, open mike, Thurs., March 1, 6:30-9:30pm. Meals will be served by Frankston Healthcare Center at 6pm. Donations will benefit residents of the Frankston Health Care Center. Come and enjoy music, food and dancing.

Living for the Brand Cowboy Church on the north loop in Athens, will host the movie "Facing the Giant" a movie about a football team learning faith and trust in the Lord, Fri., March 2, at 7pm. For more info call 903-714-3852.

All 8th grade parents are requested to attend the 8th grade end-of-year party planning meeting at the Brownsboro Junior High cafeteria Sun., March 4, at 2pm.

The Monthly Back Yard Bible Club will be held this Sunday, March 4, at 4pm at the baseball field in Murchison. Everyone is invited to attend this free event.

BMC Baseball will be holding its annual draft on Sun., March 4, at the Chandler Community Center from 1pm until the end of the draft process. All reserved player forms will be collected prior to draft each division. T-ball draft 1-2pm, Jr. Midget draft 2-3pm, Sr. Midget draft 3-4pm, Freshman and Sophomore draft 4-5pm. The Brownsboro High Band Boosters will meet Mon., March 5, at 6pm at the high school in Mrs. Ereman's Room A107.

The Moore Station/Larue AARP #5345 will meet Tues., March 6, in the Antioch Baptist Church cafeteria. Board of Directors will meet at 6pm followed by the meeting at 6:30pm. All members 50+ are invited to attend.

Skywarn 2007, a Storm Spotter Preparedness program, will be presented by Gary Woodall, of the National Weather Service Tues., March 6 6:30pm-8:30pm at the Malakoff Senior Citizens Bldg., 503. N. A Worth the Wait parent meeting for parents with students in Chandler or Brownsboro Intermediate schools will be held Tues., March 6 at 6pm for BIS students, and Tues., March 20, at 6:30pm for CIS students. The program will take place at BIS March 19-30 and at CIS April 2-13.

The Quilters Guild of East Texas will hold their Day meeting Thurs., March 8, beginning with a 9:30am social followed by the 10am meeting, at the Tyler Area Senior Citizen Association, located at 3402 Old Omen Rd., in Tyler. The Bread of Life Distribution (BOLD) of food takes place the third Saturday of the month and will be on Sat., March. 17, 8am-5pm, at the Calvary Baptist Church in Brownsboro for those in the Brownsboro, Murchison and Moore Station area. Attention Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) Early registration for membership in MOPS will take place Tues., March 20, 9:30am-10:30am at 1st Assembly of God in Chandler. The first meeting will be held Tues., April 10, 9:30am- 11:30am, and will meet the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays thereafter. The Tyler Chapter of the Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA), Chapter 932, meets the 3rd Thursday of each month at Traditions Restaurant, on South Broadway, at 1900 hours. All Vietnam and Vietnam era veterans who served on active duty (for other than training purposes) between 2/28/60 and 5/7/75 (in-country Vietnam) or between 8/5/64 and 5/7/75 (for Vietnam-era Veterans), and their spouses, are invited to come join us. "Brownsboro Remembered, " a history of Brownsboro written by Dottie Lewis is on sale at Piggy's Too for $15 per copy.

"Chandler - Its History and People" is now on sale for $25 at the Chandler Public Library. The book was published for the Chandler centennial in 1981 and has detailed histories of schools, churches and businesses as well as information about pioneer families of the area.

Chandler Masonic Lodge #993 meets every 3rd Monday, at 7:30pm at the lodge located at 724 N. Broad, in Chandler.
