Brownsboro High School recognized for yearbook excellence

DALLAS (Special) - The 2005-2006 Brownsboro High School yearbook staff has been recognized by Taylor Publishing with an Honorable Mention Award of Excellence for its dedication, effort and accomplishments. The Brownsboro High School yearbook is included in the 2007 Yearbook Yearbook for cover design. The yearbook adviser is Patsy Lewis and the editor was Megan Peyton, now a freshman at The University of Texas in Austin.

"The judges come from different parts of the nation and represent varied school sizes. Their job is not an easy one. The competition gets tougher each year because staffs are doing an excellent job of creating great, student-oriented yearbooks, " editor Marilyn Scoggins said. "Taylor Publishing includes the best of the best in Yearbook Yearbook. Advisers and journalists across the nation enjoy looking through the pages for design ideas."

Yearbooks published by Taylor for the 2006 school year were evaluated in one or more of the following areas: cover design, theme, development and layout design. Taylor Publishing names only the top ten percent of yearbook staffs with honorable mention recognition.

"The Certificate of Recognition is given each year to a small percentage of yearbook staffs nationwide that exhibit diligence in yearbook, " marketing manager Mike Taylor said. "We applaud these staffs for their work and support their efforts in scholastic journalism. "

"Hats off to last year's staff for being honored with special recognition in Taylor 's Yearbook Yearbook, " Lewis said. "Megan and her staff worked really hard to produce this yearbook. At UT, Megan is putting what she learned at Brownsboro High School to good use by majoring in Communications with special emphasis on photography. Thanks to our administration and school board for giving these young people the opportunity to excel in areas of interest to them within the walls of this school and beyond."
