Faith Baptist Chandler
by Melva Allison

We had a great day of worship Sunday - beautiful music and great preaching, along with two new families who joined our church. Bro. David is continuing a series of messages on faith. We welcome the Satterfield and Edwards families, and it is always good to see new faces in our congregation. Joley Bray blessed us with special music.

A prayer service is held every Sunday morning at 9:15 in the sanctuary just prior to Bible study. Anyone interested is invited to attend.

Those attending the adult game night last Friday night had a great time. There were 15 in attendance.

Our condolences are sent to the family of Macon Carver who passed away last week.

The Top of the Hill Gang will have lunch at The Shed in Edom Thursday, March 8, at 11:30 a.m.

A Women's Mission trip is being planned for Acuna, Mexico, June 6-10. Anyone interested in going on the trip, please contact Misty Bridges.

A women's Bible study is being planned. The study will be led by Becky Darst. Contact Becky for additional information.

The goal for our Annie Armstrong Easter offering for North American Missions has been set at $2,500.00. More than 50,000 people are trained in Southern Baptist Disaster Relief. In partnership with Baptist state conventions, more than 17 million meals were served in 2005 to victims of disasters. This is one of the ministries that the Annie Armstrong offering contributes to.

A group from the Women's Ministries went to Breckenridge Wednesday. Photos of the ladies and their house parent had been taken, and the group framed the pictures in shamrock magnetic picture frames. After the craft time they enjoyed cookies and green Jello to commemorate St. Patrick's Day. Please contact Mary Waddill, Wanda Jarrett, or Pam Wyatt if you would be interested in joining this ministry.

God's Open Hands is still in great need of donations of food and clothing. Clean out those closets and pantries and contribute to those less fortunate.

Melva and Robert Allison hosted a family lunch Sunday to celebrate Angie Saxon's birthday.

If you would like to be a part of a friendly, loving and caring church, come join us in our Bible studies on Sunday mornings at 9:45, followed by our worship service at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday Bible study/ prayer meeting is held at 6:15 p.m., and children's ministries at 6:00 p.m. We have some great teachers, and there is a place for all ages. Also, come join us for the Wednesday night dinners. Food being served this week includes beef tips/noodles with salad and garlic bread.
