Relay for Life kick-off rally will be held Monday, March 12, at 6:30pm. at the Chandler Community Center to set in motion the Relay for Life event to be held at the Brownsboro ISD, beginning 7pm, Friday May 18, through 7am, Saturday May 19. Relay for Life is a funfilled overnight event to raise money for the American Cancer Society.

The Quilters Guild of East Texas will hold their Day meeting Thurs., March 8, beginning with a 9:30am social followed by the 10am meeting, at the Tyler Area Senior Citizen Association, located at 3402 Old Omen Rd., in Tyler. Murchison Methodist Women will be sponsoring their Annual Spring Auction & Spaghetti Supper Fri., March 16, at 6pm, at the First United Methodist Church, in Murchison. A Fish Fry Fundraiser sponsored by the Chandler PD Explorers will be held in the Chandler Community Center Sat., March 24, 7:30pm until the fish run out. The fundraiser will help furnish uniforms for new members.

"Brownsboro Remembered, " a history of Brownsboro written by Dottie Lewis is on sale at Piggy's Too for $15 per copy.

"Chandler - Its History and People" is now on sale for $25 at the Chandler Public Library. The book was published for the Chandler centennial in 1981 and has detailed histories of schools, churches and businesses as well as information about pioneer families of the area.
