Arthur Macon Carver

Services for Arthur Macon Carver, 96, Chandler, were held Saturday, March 3, 2007, at 2 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church in Chandler with Dr. Johnny Beard and Floyd Perry officiating.

Burial was in Rock Hill Cemetery in Brownsboro under direction of Chandler Memorial Funeral Home, Chandler.

Mr. Carver died March 1, 2007, in a Chandler nursing center.

He was born Dec. 30, 1910 in Henderson County. He was a dirt contractor and a member of Rock Hill Baptist Church in Brownsboro.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Carver, and parents, James and Bellma Carver.

Survivors include sons, Hugh Carver and wife Benita, Lyndon Carver and wife Judy, all of Chandler; daughter, Mary Carver Perry and husband Floyd of Mesquite; sister, Jo McCurley of Kilgore; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Paul Carver, Dillon Carver, John Perry, Greg Mitchell, Seth Hampton and Sandy Wyatt.

Honorary pallbearers were Jack Jones, Ben Fitzgerald, Mac Simmon and James Benny Herrin Jr.
