Dorothy Willine Hitt

Services for Mrs. Dorothy Willine Hitt, 81, Chandler, Texas, were held Saturday morning, March 10, 2007 at Lake Palestine United Methodist Church, with Mr. Bernie Baur and Rev. Richard Prather officiating.

Burial was at 3:00 p.m. Saturday at Parkdale Cemetery in Arlington, Texas, under the direction of Chandler Memorial Funeral Home, Chandler, Texas.

Mrs. Hitt died March 6, 2007 in a Tyler hospital. She was born February 15, 1926 in Pocahontas, Arkansas.

She had lived in the Chandler area 6 years, Alvarado area for 9 years, and Fort Worth area for 12 years. She was a member of West Lake Shores Church of Christ, was a homemaker and love giver. She loved working in the churches that she belonged to, and all sort of crafts.

She was preceded in death by husband, Joseph Jackson Hitt, and a grandson, Kevin Lee Jinkins; 6 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Kenneth Hitt, Kevin Hallman, Donald Duncan, Mike Moore, Jody Hitt, and Shane Parker.

Honorary pallbearers were Jeremy Eldridge, Justin Sweet, Colby Hitt.
