Chandler 4-H News Chandler 4-H Club met March 13 at the Community Center with 15 members and 11 adults present, including new member Paige Rushing and her mother. We decided to postpone the rifle raffle until next year, but we are getting ready for the upcoming Henderson County Livestock Show, March 26-31. Some are even beginning to prepare for the major shows next season. Haily Hargrave from our club is a candidate in the Princess/ Queen competition. This week just prior to the livestock show, 4-H will be active in April's Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month, handing out flyers and decorating the courthouse square. Our program was provided by CEA Hilary Grider who brought the final installment of the citizenship module from the State 4-H Quality Counts curriculum. Our next meeting will be April 10 at 7 pm in the Community Center and the program will be "You and Your Feed Store," presented by local dealers. |
