Texas X-Treme tie up Razorbacks
In route to their 4-0 record the X-Treme hog-tied the Wichita Fall Razorbacks 43- 12 last Saturday in Brownsboro. The X-Treme defense allowed just 45 yards rushing on 26 attempts and 94 yards passing on 34 attempts. Texas also forced three interceptions, two by Issac Johnson. Johnson also broke up five passes and made two tackles. Billy Small also had an interception, 5 solo stops and a sack. On offense the X-Treme moved the ball well, rushing for 180 on 24 carries and passing for 220 yards on 11-25 completions. Quarterback Johnny Morgan passed for three touchdowns, all to different receivers. Three different players also scored rushing touchdowns for the X-Treme. Leading the way offensively was Brandon Thompson with 50 yards on five carries and a score. Thompson also gained 84 yards receiving, for a total of 134 yards of offense. Eric Wren led the team in rushing with 72 yards and a score. All members of the XTreme played in the game as Texas led 30-0 at the half and 43-0 at one point. |
