JV Bears capture 3rd place in District Tournament

After capturing third in the JV Tournament held Thursday and Saturday the Bears fell to Bullard 11-1 on Monday night in Bullard.

Scoring the Bears lone run against Bullard was Tyler Rogers. Rogers set up the sixth inning score by singling before stealing second. Brett Tidwell was 2-3 in the game.

To win third place in the JV Tournament on Saturday the Bears defeated Chapel Hill 10-4 in Brownsboro.

Brownsboro scored 9 runs in the first inning. Austin Allen tripled in the game and Tyler Rogers doubled. The Bears split the opening games of the tournament.

The JV Bears are 9-7 on the season as of Tuesday and will take the field this Saturday in Tyler against Grace Community School at noon.

Brownsboro will return home to play Athens on April 2 with a first pitch scheduled time of 5:30pm.
