SPRING
Of all the seasons in the year
I seem to love this one the best.
The smiling sun warms Mother Earth,
And sleeping nature quits her rest.
The flowers and shrubs all hear her call
And birds return with singing glee,
While shrubs and flowers their beauty spread,
The birds build nests up in the tree.
The little tombs are bursting wide;
And earth gives way for life to grow;
To share His grandeur far and wide,
For God our Father wants it so.
We sing His praises, for His ways
And love Him for His gifts so dear;
Praise Him, for His including us,
To share His love, year after year.

The Last Day of School
'Twas the last day of school
And all through the halls,
Lockers were slamming
Awaiting next fall.
The halls fill up
With friend and foe,
We say good-bye
To this place we know.
A word won't be heard
Of classmates' speeches;
Our minds are
With baseball and beaches.
From Tonka trucks
And pigtailed hair,
We've grown up so much
It just doesn't seem fair.
We say good-bye
To the friends we've made.
We hope these bonds
Won't ever fade.
This is the day
We've waited for, for so long.
We all pray that nothing
Turns out to go wrong.
We've had some fun;
We've shared our tears.
Still more to come
In the next four years.

Jesus' Walk, Our Walk
Jesus passed no one in need in his walk;
We pass all in need unless it's convenient;
Jesus loved all and cared for others,
We choose who we love, and don't.
Jesus talked with sinners, deceivers, hypocrites,
We avoid them, and surely we are not these.
Jesus was humble and thought of others first,
While we are prideful, and all about ourselves.
Jesus had no material possessions,
We buy as much as we can, and put the rest on credit.
Jesus taught about holy living, and commandments.
We have the Bible -- a book that collects dust on the shelf.
Jesus healed those who came with diseases and believed in Him,
We don't care about diseases unless it affects us.
Jesus told all about God's love and his sacrifice.
We keep this knowledge to ourselves; others can find out on their own.
Jesus forgives all sins when one repents and asks forgiveness,
We hold grudges and all against us accountable.
Jesus call us to teach and lead by example,
We don't do that -- that's what preachers are for.
Jesus stood firm in his faith to God.
We need to be like Jesus in our walk of life.
The list could go on, and on. . .
