Courtesy Photo RESERVE CHAMPION -- Johnny Oden won Reserve Champion with his steer at the Henderson County Livestock Show held March 26-31. Johnny and about 75 other students were provided a barbecue meal donated by Hank Tyler, manager of Spring Creek Barbecue of Tyler on Monday evening of the livestock show. Johnny and all the students extend their appreciation to Spring Creek.
Courtesy Photo BEST ALL AROUND -- Lucas Lemons was a four-time winner at the Henderson County Livestock Show March 26-March 31 when he was awarded the Elsie Rossen award for best all around points for the week, and three belt buckles for his Grand Champion breeding swine; Champion in Junior Showmanship breeding swine; and Grand Champion breeding goat. Lucas also won Breed Champion at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo for his Braford heifer and placed in the top 10 in Texas for his Braford heifer, and was awarded a jacket at the HLS&R banquet. Lucas is a member of the Brownsboro Junior FFA, and a sixth grader at Brownsboro Intermediate School.
