Warren named Defensive Player of the Year

Chad Wilson Photo ALL HENDERSON COUNTY-- Sophomore Tristain Warren earn the All Henderson County Area's defensive player of the year award.

Sophomore Tristain Warren earned the All Henderson County Area defensive player of the year award after a stellar year for the Varsity Bears basketball team.

Also earning recognition on the Area team for the Bears was Colin Thompson on the first team and Joe Denney on the second team.

Andrew Adair and Ryan Smith both earned honorable mention.

Chelsea Chimney earned first team honors for the Bearettes while Bianca Mosley and Danica Edwards each earned second team honors.

The 2007 All Henderson County Area Basketball Teams were selected by the staff of the Athens Review based on nominations by the area high school coaches.

Warren is one of three sophomores to win a superlative award.

Morgan Mayse, daughter of Brownsboro teacher John Mayse was awarded the Girls player of the year award.
