A college financial aid representative from TVCC is coming to BHS Thurs., April 19, at 6:30 p.m. in Room A112 to assist families that need to file their FAFSA, or to answer any questions anyone might have concerning college financing. Bring your 2006 tax information with you. FAFSAs can be filed online that night. This information is good for any student attending any college. A Senior Lock-In Meeting will be held Thurs., April 19, at 7pm, at El Presidente Mexican Restaurant on Hwy. 31 in downtown Brownsboro. All parents of seniors are encouraged to attend.

The Golden Girls Boosters will meet Thurs., April 19, at 6:30pm in the High School cafeteria. Both this year's and next year's members are encouraged to attend.

Forest Grove Ladies Auxiliary will hold their Annual Spring Garage Sale, Fri. & Sat. April 20 & 21 from 7:30am - ? Forest Grove Community Center is located 8 miles south of Chandler on FM 315 South. The Bread of Life Distribution (BOLD) of food takes place the third Saturday of the month and will be on Sat., April 21, 8am-5pm, at the Calvary Baptist Church in Brownsboro for those in the Brownsboro, Murchison and Moore Station area. The Chandler Elementary Spring Festival Blue Ribbon Backyard Extravaganza will be held Friday, April 27, 5pm- 8pm in the school's back yard. Attractions include Outback Steakhouse, inflatables, bounce house, bingo, lots of fun kid booths, and so much more. Proceeds from this fundraiser go toward the school's student activity fund.

Forest Grove Baptist Church of Chandler will host a 5th Sunday Singing, April 29 at 6pm. Local recording art- ist Tim Jones of Poynor will be the featured entertainment. Admission is free. A love offering will be taken. There will be a white elephant silent auction to benefit the church's hymnal fund. Everyone is invited to come and sing, bid on a white elephant item and enjoy the fun. A Two Man Scramble Golf Tournament sponsored by Team Tucker will be held Sat., May 5, at the Echo Creek Country Club. shotgun start at 9am. Cost is $50 single/$100 per team. The Tyler Chapter of the Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA), Chapter 932, meets the 3rd Thursday of each month at Traditions Restaurant, on South Broadway, at 1900 hours. "Brownsboro Remembered, " a history of Brownsboro written by Dottie Lewis is on sale at Piggy's Too for $15 per copy.

"Chandler - Its History and People" is now on sale for $25 at the Chandler Public Library. The book was published for the Chandler centennial in 1981 and has detailed histories of schools, churches and businesses as well as information about pioneer families of the area.
