Texas X-Treme slide past Wolves

Winning 18-14 Saturday the Texas X-Treme semi-pro football team improved their overall mark to 10-0 against the East Texas Wolves in one of the closest games to date.

The X-Treme built a solid 18- 0 lead with four minutes remaining in the game. With mostly reserve players in the game the Wolves took advantage scoring 14 unanswered points.

Due to injuries and time off the X-Treme offensive appeared flat. Overall the XTreme gained 147 yards rushing on 25 carries and 182 yard passing on 10-15 completions.

Texas will play in Brownsboro on Saturday night against the East Texas Outlawz with a scheduled start time of 7:00pm.

Offensive standouts in the win over the Wolves was Brandon Thompson and Eric Wren. Wren scored two touchdowns and rushed for 65 yards.

Defensively BHS graduate Terry Bonner recorded 2 sacks and an interception. Overall the X-Treme allowed just 118 total yards of offense to the Wolves.
